How to install modem and get the dialup worked for HP Pavilion dv4000 in SUSE 10.1
 
Hello everyone, I'm new to SUSE 10.1. I'm using the OS in HP Pavilion dv4000. Is there any one who can suggest me how to make the modem operational and get connected to inet using dialup connection. The hybernate and wlan is also not working. Thank in advance.

There are quite a few threads on this in forums. Use the search at the top of this page and in forums type: modem - internet - dialup - suse. First I can tell you to go into YaST and click on network and see if it recognises your modem and lan card. If not you will have to find drivers for the modem and lan card. If this is your first setup you are in for self taught learning experience. Don't get discouraged, we will try and help.
