How to install linux on Extensa 510

I have a very old laptop Extenxa 510, Texas instruments Hd 850Mb, RAM 16MB. I want to install linux on it but the problem is that ther is no cdrom and the floppy driver is broken. The only way i can get data in it is by using direct cable connection, or modem. There is no etheral port for a ftp installation.

Any sugestions on how to install linux in this laptop? Or is it time for a funeral ceremony for my laptop!!!
