How to Install Fedora2 on Compaq Presario 1200

Hi

I want to install Fedora 2 on my laptop Compaq Presario 1200. The problem is the monitor of my laptop in unknown by Fedora 2. Fedora 2 is working well in text mode. How can i work on my laptop.

Did the gui installer work? If so, when it gets to the monitor, you should select generic lcd and the appropriate resolution. I have used RH9, FC1 and FC2 on a Toshiba M10-S405 selecting the generic lcd monitor. Once I missed the resolution setting and it got set lower than it should have been, making for a display that did not fill the screen. I noticed when searching here that others have had this same problem.
