how to fix boot for a ubuntu clone via clonezilla

I have a multiboot laptop B and a clonezilla backup from another multiboot labtop A of the same brand and model. grub was installed on partition /. I'd like to make a clone from the backup on B using clonezilla.

I'm sure it will work if I can fix the grub but I don't know how. Thanks for your help.

There are a number of places that could be at fault.
