how to disable "automatic screen saver" on thinkpad T21

hello, my thinkpad screen blacks out every five minutes, in both terminal and GUI. i suspect it's there for saving the battery, but it's really annoying when you're watching dvd's, so i would like to disable it. how can this be done?

thanks,

Look in /etc/X11/xorg.conf and find a line;
Option "DPMS" change it to;
#Option "DPMS"
restart X
What happens?

no, the screen still goes black at five minutes, in both terminal and X :-(

(and btw, as i forgot to mention in my original mail, i use mandrake 10.1)
