how to connect to a external modem

HI ,

I would like to know how to connect an Apache external modem (56k) to my laptop. I just realised the serial cable doesn't fit . It has a serial I/F entry , is there any adapter ? i thought it would allow me to plug in the printer serial port.

my internal modem isn't working under linux so i am planning to change my old us robotics for this external modem because i don't use it anymore, so if you please help me here , thanks
