How do I wakeup my laptop?

I just got a shiny new Toshiba A75 laptop.
Loaded Suse 9.2.
Both NIC and Wireless work perfectly.

So, I left the machine on all night, and this morning
the screen is dark -- I'm sure it went into suspend,
or hibernate, or something.

How do I wake it up? Smelling the coffee doesn't work :)

Does (briefly) pushing the power button? That's all I can think of.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I think the power-button trick would work on XP,
but doesn't seem to work here.

On other laptops, I have seen the <shift> key wake up
Linux, but again, not here.

It may be that the whole machine has quit responding,
because I just noticed that I cannot even ping it.

So, here we go -- a hard reset. :(
