Higher speed with HUAWEI E220 USB modem?

Hey all.

I am running Ubuntu 7.04 with HUAWEI E220 USB modem, and has just upgraded the modem to 7,2 Mbit/s / 384 Kbit/s.

I have set the wvdial.conf to the speed of 460800.

My connection is tested and because the theoretical speeds from my ISP also is the same speeds as the modem.

Now my question:

Is it possible to run faster than 460800 in Ubuntu - or whatever distro?

Best regards

Stardustdk

Thanx :)

Hey Drakeo.

Thanks for the info .I don't know what driver is used but it don't allow me to go further than 460800...

It is a USB modem, so ISDN speeds give me no trouble, have't used ISDN since year 2000.

Hope that i soon will be able to use the 926100 speed

Best regards
