help me pppoe question

hi guys i install slackware on my laptop ,i use the pppoe to link internet,when i run pppoe-start ,it show connected ,but i canot ping,neither is my screen show

this is not a private ip address.(CHINANET Jiangsu Province Network)

I think this address should be in dns section of your network config.

or you may put it in /etc/resolv.conf (domain name server list)

and the ip for your pppoe should be in the 192.168.1. range.
