help installing wireless on dell 4150

Hey all,
First of all i wanted to try to figure it out on my own first, buts its been 4 hours of trying and i still cant get it to work

Im running Cent OS so technically Redhat

Kernel 2.6.9-11
KDE

I tryed getting ndiswrapper 1.7

and after i untar it i tryed

./configure, make, or make && install and i just get a error.

Are these the right drivers in the first place? i just dont want to waste my time if its not.

I have a dell inspiron 4150

When, you need to type "./configure", "make", then "make install" if you didnt do so. Nidswrapper works for setting up wireless in linux. You need to check your network card to see what type of drivers you need and then download the windows drivers for these. Ndiswrapper will then emulate this drivers so work on linux. You now only install the drivers and this is described in the readme or install txt of ndiswrapper. You could also try a program called driverloader which is easier, but it does cost some money. I have got them both to work serveral times.

I have again upgraded my kernel to one of the most new ones and i can say that this linux kernel has much better support for wireless, then kernel 2.6.9-11.
