Ok guys. heres the scoop.

I'm trying to get my WLAN working on my Laptop. its a new gateway with AMD Athlon 64 and a Broadcom 802.11g Internal wireless card (I forgot the model name )

I'm running Slackware and i cant find anything, anywhere about how to get WLAN working.

Any input would be wonderful.

Please take a look at ndiswrapper and post specific questions if you have trouble with the install.

I have an internal broadcom wireless card in my dell 5160 that i got working on mdk10.1. You have to use ndiswrapper and the windows driver. Ndiswrapper is a package that allows you to use windows wireless drivers in linux:

http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/p...p/Installation

I used the bcmwl5.inf windows driver file with ndiswrapper and all was well. You should determine your exact card and chipset to get the right windows driver. Most people seem to be able to get broadcoms working with ndiwrapper but there are no native linux drivers and broadcom is being very jerky about releasing specs.
