Headphones won't work!
Using Fedora Core 2, i was trying to listen to music via headphones and couldn't hear anything, it was playing but no sound. First i thought my sound wasn't configured properly but then i checked to see and it was. Without the headphones XMMS and KCD play music just fine and i can hear it. Volume level i think is set to max, so that's not the problem. I said.... i think because i can't find the volume level icon anywhere, neither in the task bar nor in the sounds and multimedia section. It's just not there. But when i test sounds i hear sounds and know that the sound system has been enabled. Moreover, like i said i listen to music without headphones. Headphones work fine in XP. So it might be a driver issue or something like that.
Also what software should one use to download music in linux? Anything similar to WinMX or Kazaa in windows? Please let me know! |
