HCL laptop screen constant flcikering on RHEL 4.. help me ?

Hi all,

I got a new laptop ( HCL C9504 12inch ) and its pre-installed RH Linux WS 4, my laptop screen has a constant flcikering which is very annoying? i have asked customer care.. they are replyed its only because of Linux OS driver.. you have to remove linux and install Window for resolving this issue. but i dont want to remove linux. could any body help me how can i repair this.

Have you tried reconfiguring the display. You can run the command system-config-display or Kmenu -> Administration -> Display. If you use GNOME, the entry could be located somewhere else.

yes... i am using gnome.. and i have done this too.... i have changed colour setting like multiple/thousand colour etc.. but still same problem..
