haunted by ndiswrapper

Hello everyone. I'm currently trying to get my Dell Truemobile 1300 wirless card working, running Debian 2.6.8-3-686 on a Dell Inspiron 5100. I've had a good deal of trouble with this card and Linux in the past, but usually am able to solve it one way or another. I've browsed over plenty of google results, and have had no luck, and am pretty upset that the scourcefourge wiki entry appears to have been deleted...

Currently, i have ndiswrapper installed, the .inf files loaded into it, and it claims that ndiswrapper modules have been loaded, but upon running "lsmod |grep ndiswrapper" i get nothing. Furthermore, /etc/network/interfaces has nothing regarding loading my wireless card. Slightly deeper, in /etc/network/if-pre-up.d/ there is a text file called wireless-tools, but i do not have the technical know-how to understand the file.

I have tried multiple reboots, manually adding in text to /etc/network/interfaces, all to no avail. If anyone has any ideas (or need further information), any help will be greatfully appreciated.

Cheers!

ps - Sorry for any slow responses, due to my wireless card working, i can only get online at friends houses with a LAN cable

If its using the Broadcom BCM4306KFB chipset then get this file ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/note...ers/80211g.zip and according to ndiswrapper "Needs both *.inf files in same directory but use BCMWL5A.INF for ndiswrapper driver install".
Does ndiswrapper -l show that the hardware is present?

Thats something it was silly of me to leave out. Yes, ndiswrapper does recognize the bcmwl5.inf file, and says that it has loaded properly. Also, I cannot remember what folder it is offhand right now (i'm on a windows machine), but in the modules folder there is a moldes.ndiswrapper file; I will try and post that, as well as some output (lspci, iwconfig etc) later on today when i'm back on linux.

Cheers
