is that "free" space really just a not used NTFS formatted partition for windows ?

or
did you really shrink win7 using win7's disk tools?

have you read through the fedora 20 install guide ?

http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/...ide/index.html

this is explained in there

Can you run Fedora live then take a screenshot of Gparted? That might help us to pinpoint the problem.

first i installed windows 7 in my laptop. i created 3 ntfs partitions total 50 GB. i dont use 25 gb .it is free space.

then i created live fedora cd in pendrive using iniversal installer usb software tool. Then i started fedora installation from pendrive. i selected partitions. it shows 25 GB available space. when i create mount point it says not enough free space.

what might be the problem

you already have 4 primary's
you need to convert that 4th partition into an EXTENDED partition
and use the partitions you make in that to install fedora into

use the free Gparted live cd

and format the drive / partition

you DO have a back up of windows and a windows install disk ? right
the VERY first time you booted win7 it asked you to make a recovery disk , did you
if not
you can buy one from Microsoft
