Unhappy GRUB unfound on dual boot RH9 & Win XP

I have recently had to re install the Win XP partition on my Inspiron 5150 due to a graphics driver problem and all seems well. My new problem is that the GRUB boot loader can not be found and so the system goes striaght into XP. I have check and the Linux partition is still there and in tact, I just cant get to it.

I tried using the RH9 install disks to do a linux rescue but I wasn't sure what I was doing from there. I have also tried using the CD to simply upgrade the system and give me back the boot loader. The installation exits though with the message that nothing had been done to the kernel and so the bootloader configuration is unchanged. During this installation procedure I am told that the bootloader can not be found.

Can anyone help me? I am sure there is an easy solution out there.

Thanks,

TCDnewbie.

If you made a bootdisk during the install there sure is a simple solution.
Boot using the bootdisk and reinstall Grub.
It should be something along the lines of
# grub-install /dev/hda

Of course if you didn't make a bootdisk ...
