hi everyone...i am new to ububtu.i installed windows 7 and ubuntu 10.1 on my machine in different partitons..a request appeared in ubuntu to update my grub in ubuntu and tried to update it..i cancelled the update as it took more time and shut down the system.when i tried to restart the system..it is not booting and showing the error message:
error:no such device :5f7a4105-7c05-450a-a753-36f9f9b26922
grub rescue>
please help...
i read the similar articles but not able to understand as i am new to ubuntu and this technical terms:-(

do you still have the liveCD? Then try this link to restore grub:

If you get stuck then post the commands and the output you have issued.
