Red face Grub rescue error by unknown partition

I dont actually know what to do, I've been reading some threads on the internet but nothing equal to my case, only people who installed Windows after Linux and lost GRUB. Do I just need a live CD to reinstall GRUB? Can somebody tell what to do? Thanks.

You didn't mention which distro you're using but all of the red hat family have a rescue mode on the first disc, try booting with 'linux rescue'

from a live cd click to open a terminal (terminator, xterm, console, rxvt) and type the binairy-command grubinstall (grub-install, grubinstaller) or liloinstall. The syntax of the command might be slightly different at each distribution. -setup -config -conf -cfg might perhaps work also. Search for grub and lilo at the find GUI. Executable files have special icons.
Watch out for the filesystem support of grub. If you use a fs that is uncommon like freeBSD-ufs grub might not be able to read it.
