goes into standby mode but won't wake up

Hello.

I have a Compaq Evo N600c running Slackware 10.1 with KDE. I've been trying around with acpi support and getting the computer to go into standby mode.

I get that to work fine but when it has gone into standby mode i just can't get it to wake up. i've tried pressing all keys around and also the power button (which shut the compute down totally)

is there any specific sequenze to get a computer up from standby mode or are you able to alter some configuration file to make it listen to a specific key?

i know that the issue of computers not waking up from standby and hibernate can be because of a failing hard drive. but i am quite sure that is not the case.

any help is appreciated!

/Timmy
