Gateway MX6453 Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron)
Hey All,
I have a Gateway MX6453 laptop (http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/...13913Rnv.shtml). As far as I can tell it has an Intel High Definition 2 Channel Audio Card. Mostly everything works great, except for the microphone. This is the only thing not using PulseAudio, it's still using ALSA. When I try to configure it in the Sound Gui it crashes and I get an error: " Code:
Failed to construct test pipeline for 'gconfaudiosrc ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink profile=chat'This has been the only thing keeping Win XP left on my computer. I even got my dreaded Broadcom card to work with wireless. Well, my card reader isn't working but I don't care about that yet, but I really need my microphone for Telephony. Does anyone have a solution??? |
