Gateway 400vtx & Fedora Core2 display resolution
 

I am trying to get my laptop display to 1024x768 screen resolution. I have had it set up that way in Windows but the best I can get under Fedora is 800x600. I have selected the LCD Panel 1024x768 setting. In the initial set up of Fedora I set up the display to 1024x768 and received no error messages. Now when I try to set the display, 800x600 is the highest resolution available.

I went on the Fedora forum and one possible solution there was to comment out the horizontal and vertical sync rates lines. I did this and Fedora just added new ones.

If anyone has an idea where to look for a fix to this, I'd be glad to hear it.
