Framebuffer device no working on my thinkpad....
I am used to using fbterm under Linux console environment to display non-ANSII texts and using mplayer -vo fbdev2 to play videos.
Now I'm installing Ubuntu 12.04 on a new laptop computer but I find that the framebuffer just won't work at all...All programs using framebuffer to work are down,too...It is not a permission problem for I have already added myself to the Video group... And writing to /dev/fb0 or /dev/fb1 won't create any warning or error message printed out, but the screen won't make any response,either... Does anyone know what's going on with this situation? My laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad E430(3254A71) with two graphic card : NVIDIA GeForce GT 610M+Intel GMA HD 4000 Any further information can be provided. I didn't know whether this is a software or hardware issue...so I posted it here.. |
