For Toshiba and Deskstation linux users

I've put up pages on my website describing the installing and use of Debian Linux on a Toshiba 700ct with the Deskstation V docking station.

I've had the pages up for a little while but lately I've been making some progress on some issues I had to work out. First I was having problems with apm powering down the machine with my new kernel. I fixed this and provide a laptop config file for others to use for their custom kernel compiles. But lately I've been working on the issues with docking and undocking the laptop while powered on. So far I've been able to reenable my pcmcia services/network services and reenabling the onboard/dock sound hardware after dock/undock. I made a shell script to do this also. But right now I am stuck at having to run it as root. I'm looking to swap ideas with anyone working on similar hardware on how to reenable other hardware and how to be able to do this when logged in as user without the need to open an xterminal and logging in as root to run the script.
