Fn keys do not work
 
On my Dell Inspiron 1501 I have a Fn key that I use to control volume, and a few other functions.
For some reason the volume and a few other functions do not work. One that does is suspend.
Using xev I checked the mappings which show XF86AudioRaiseVolume and so forth for each button. But still it does not work.

Any ideas what I can do to fix this is appreciated.

Dell Inspiron 1501
OpenSuSE 11.0
