I am currently running Fedora 11 on my Macbook Pro 1.1 (2006), the wireless card worked out-of-the-box for me, maybe you have a later model...I dont know what wifi cards they put in those. Does it have an Atheros card?

I just installed fedora 11 on my mbp and I am also unable to get wireless. I am pretty sure I have the Atheros card because I just got my mbp same time as snow leopard was released. Are there any drivers released that will support the mbp wireless or will I have to replace the wireless card?

adgezaza,

I just bought the mbp a few days back. I got the wireless working. You got to enable rpmfusion repo:

http://rpmfusion.org/Configuration

then install:

yum install akmod-wl

Did you get the brightness working. I have been trying it from the time I bought it and still cannot figure it.

this might help you a bit too.

Hey No luck with wireless. Didn't work.

No word on backlight either. But I will try out what the tutorial said.
