Fedora on a Dell Inspiron 6400...Grub not working?

I recently decided to install Fedora 7 on my laptop, the problem was that the MBR of my laptop has been specially modified by Dell to allow the dell media center to boot up when i press the MediaDirect button on my laptop. In order to preserve the MBR, i am using NTLDR to load grub so i can load linux. After successfully installing linux, i used NTLDR to choose the linux option and i got a GRUB screen, now the problem is, when it starts to load Fedora, it gets stuck at

"Booting the kernel...................Ok."

Here is my partition structure in case it is of any help:
Dell Utility (102MB vfat)
Windows System (80GB ntfs)
<extended>
Linux /boot (102MB)
Fedora (26.5GB ext3)
Dell MediaDirect (3.25GB vfat)

Any help as to how i can get linux working would be great,
Thanks in advance
Crash

P.S.
I would like to know, from other fedora users, whether the media keys on the front of my laptop, and bluetooth and wireless are supported for the inspiron 6400.
Thanks again

Found it! all i had to do was edit /etc/grub.conf on line which loads kernel, add this parameter:
clocksource=acpi_pm
