You could try using Unetbootin
but be careful with it and make sure it's picked to install to usb
Unetbootin sometimes has issues as well
but it will probably be successful at installing syslinux to the usb
and then if it somehow screws up the install
you can delete everyhting except syslinux
ldlinux.sys

and then use liveusb-creator

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

Did you ever use Windows?
Yeah I can't wait to use Linux though, here's a little log of what I'm Doing:
1. Delete everything on the USB Drive (Completed_
2. <Use LiveUSB to make a liveUSB, try to use the liveUSB (1) if it doesn't work then install syslinux (2) (In Progress 1/2)
3. Love Linux, but don't love it more then my awesome God!
4. Get used to Fedora, but don't forget how to use Windows (I shouldn't forget, I have been using it for years now --->Sadly, but it helps me help people with their computer problems

*Goodness, this takes so long not using an existing iso.

Actually, yeah I had windows till Unetbootin installed syslinux
to my hd

so, is it working yet?
where are we at?

if nothing else unetbootin will install syslinux to usb
then just run usb creator again.

Don't swear please.
I have like 760 but my Free Space is low, that's why when this completes I am going to take my USB Drive out and free a little space (to get up to atleast 200 MB, yeah that little, I think I have a virus taking up a lot of my space)

-Does LXDE look anything like Gnome?
-OK i'll download it, but do you think I could fit it on my USB Drive and then create the LiveUSB with it from the USB itself?

it looks kinda like gnome, and it's got gnome and openbox depens I think
it's faster

I'm not sure if that will work
but it should

it might not work though
as long as you have enough space

so, move the persistent overlay you made from the LiveOS folder
to your hd so you'll have more space to make the new lxde
overlay

I don't exactly think I can do that anymore as nothing is on my usb drive, but the LXDE remix is going on right now.
