Angry FC6/7 on aspire 5103WMI and ATI X1300


Hi,

Any one configured ATI X1300 on Aspire 5103WMI suscussfully? If so can you post detailed configuration please? aticonfig is not working and the closest I can get is VGA LCD monitor at 1024x768.

I hate ATI this is third laptop I have problems with linux install and ATI. I will never buy antother ATI card again.

Install the freshrpms-release package:

rpm -ivh http://ftp.freshrpms.net/pub/freshrp....fc.noarch.rpm

Then do; yum install dkms ati-x11-drv

Your welcome and the fun part is you will not have to reload the ati-x11-drv after the next kernel upgrade.
