Familiar linux problem restoring wince

When I trie to restore wince on my ipaq 3970, I can set up the serial connection on com1 (win host) type load root and send the file trough ymodem transfer. When the file finishes the transfer I get this message:

partition root is a jffs2 partition:
expecting .jffs2 or wince_image.gz.
After receiving file, will automatically uncompress .gz images
loading flash region root
using ymodem
ready for YMODEM transfer...

either your wince-image is not OK, or winhost messes things up. have you tried with minicom, for example? it has worked with my ipaq every time.
oh, btw, would you be willing to give me your wince-image, i have lost mine and would like to use it again..., lol

installing

I can send it to you if you want. There are internet sites talking about the fact that the rom image backup program backs up a 40mb file and the rom is only 32mb, so what did I do, I used a dd program (what it is, ... I don't know) to resize the rom image, and it worked fine, but... still the same error but the adress has now changed. (what was it again -> image is too big vor FA4965002 or something but now it has changed, the error message stays the sam though).

Can anybody help here?

Thx Wannes
