Exclamation eth0 starts before pcmcia on fedora core 1

When I boot I notice that my eth0 starts and fails before my pcmcia services start. After I login I have to eject my Realtek 8139 and reinsert it, then go to System Settings/Network and Activate it.

Laptop and hardware I am using:

IBM Thinkpad 600e
Realtek 8139

OS:
Fedora Core 1 (2.4.22-1.2173.nptl)

Yes it is a pc-card. It is a Realtek chipset 8139.

I am sorry, I do not know what you mean by "inbuilt eth controller". If that means an onboard NIC, then no it is not.

Sounds like your device is missing from /etc/pcmcia/config. man pcmcia for more info.
