estimating hand held using linux?

any hand held devices that are available that use linux?

of those, are there any that i can use for my small business that can store data for producing quick reliable estimates?

an alternate might be an old lap top with a low profile printer for business forms- though this must work in cold weather, and not cost a lot. cold weather will remove liquid ink types from consideration. perhaps a low profile dot matrix printer, and lap top in a brief case would work? not sure about actual choices, and costs.

low cost (DIY to save due to being low down and dirty) is very desireable.

looking to get some ideas, and generate some solid options, and then decide which way to go. thanks in advance!
