Unhappy Es1879 and SuSE 8.1

Hello,
I was give a Compaq Armada 7400 which I promptly installed SuSE 8.1 Professional. Everything worked smoothly and I was able to use the whitepapers from Compaq to get most things going, though they were intended for use with SuSE 6.0. As of yet, I am unable to get the sound to work. When I manually add the card I get an error saying that it could not be added to the kernel and may be due to invalid IRQ or I/O values. I am using I/O=0x220, IRQ5, DMA1, MPU=0x330.

Thanks Alot,
Cern
