Enabling Visual Effects on Acer AspireOne 532h-2254 Netbook
 

Hello; I am very new to Linux so please be as descriptive as possible.
I have found the visual effects options to be grayed out; how might I enable my 3d acceleration and whatnot?

Acer AspireOne 532h-2254 Netbook, running UNE (Ubuntu Netbook Edition) 10.04.

Is compiz installed ?

What GPU is in that netbook? Can you show us your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file?

Ah. I was a little slow to realize that compiz did not come preinstalled with the netbook edition; thank you so much for the help :)
