LinuxQuestions.org - Eee Webcam troubles - Logitech 3500 E Plus, Micro Innovations IC50C

So, I have a new Eee with the default Xandros installed. I like Xubuntu much more, but I don't have a way of installing it right now. I have two webcams that have functioned largely trouble-free with Kubuntu and Xubuntu, but neither of them work with Xandros. The two webcams are a Logitech E 3500 Plus and a Micro Innovations IC50C.

For the Logitech cam, I tried to locate Linux drivers online, but I only found sites where people said "Wow! Works great out of the box!" and Windows drivers. I tried installing packages that would help, but the repository for the Eee is terribly limited and I'm not sure where to go from here.

For the IC50C, I downloaded spca50x from http://spca50x.sourceforge.net/spca50x.php, which I vaguely remember installing (I couldn't say for sure) on Kubuntu back in 2007 to make the cam work. Setting it up with the script gives me an error saying my kernel source isn't installed. After installing the source package of my running kernel (http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:rebuildthekernel), I still got the same error. I poked around in the install script and it is looking for the folder /lib/modules/'uname -r'/build/ (more accurately /lib/modules/2.6.21.4-eeepc/build/include/linux) and that wasn't installed when I installed the source package.

So these are two brick walls I've hit in terms of my knowledge of how to make it work. It doesn't matter to me which webcam works as long as one of them does; I just want to skype with my girlfriend. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to make either one work? Installing xubuntu isn't really a possibility right now, so I'm trying to work within these confines.
