easy peasy install help needed please

Hello all i just got an asus eeepc 900a
and the xandros flavor that came with it is very limiting so decided to install EP and i created the boot usb stick everting seems to be fine with it it works on my other laptop (with a cd rom)
but the eeepc doesnt have a cdrom and when the booter is going through everything it gets to the part where it is setting up the cd and looking for the (10.102446) uniform cdrom driver revision: 3.20
and i get the error:

Gave up waiting for root device. common problems:

- boot arg (cat /proc/cmdline)
check root delay yadda yadda

- missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls /dev)
ALERT! does not exist. Dropping to a shell!

Busybox v1.10.2 Ubuntu 1:1.10.2-1ubuntu6)built-in shell (ash)

does anyone know how to get past this point i wants what i cannot give it!

please help guys thanks in advance

I know when creating the install USB flash drive for my netboook one of the steps was to copy the CD iso for the distro I was installing onto the flash drive..

What directions did you follow to create the EP bootable USB flash ?
