DVD_RW drive not mounted in FC6 on HPnx7400


I am not able to mount the DVD drive on FC6 on my laptop , .....
whenever i insert a dvd or a cd and try to mount it and open it , it does not get opened !

It should mount itself??? Have you tried looking in /media/cdrom to see if it's actually mounted? Is it just not coming up on your desktop or is the mounting failing?

What's the output of:

Code:
mount
after inserting the CD/DVD?
