DVD quickplay on HP computers
New models of HP laptops offer a possibility to play DVDs without needing to boot a computer. Is this going to create any problems if I install both Linux and Windows on this laptop (with GRUB). Has anyone tried it out already?

yes, it's just a boot button. push it and up comes grub. However, on install( i kept as dual boot) I noticed a partition of 1 gig which suse wanted to put in grub as -windows 2- i removed that entry but it might be the media play system. in which case just power on boot W2.
Not really an important feature for me any way.

well I never got it to work again after accidently removeing the partition...
I create a 1gb partition, install the quickplay technology on it.
When I press the button it pops up for 5 seconds and then closes...
oh well, dont really need it.

Would automatic DVD play after inserting work on every computer then? As I understand, there's some kind of a compact operating system installed on a separate partition that plays DVDs. Didn't any Linux user write something like that so far?
