You were asked earlier to copy + paste for those helping you, the commands you ran and the output that they produced. If you don't know how to interpret the stuff you're looking at, please paste it here so someone can help you interpret it.

However: something needs to be clear here: Are you trying to install a Windows driver into Windows, or are you trying to install a driver into Ubuntu? Please answer this question, and then, if the answer is "Ubuntu", paste for us the results of the commands you've run. If the answer is "Windows", re-read some of the posts above, and tell us what happens when you use the Control Panel or Automatic Updater to try getting the driver.

Windows, or Linux - I can only help with one, and it isn't Windows.

Ok. The addresses you xxx'd out from the `route -n` command are important too. They should be all internal addresses, so there's not a security risk from posting them. If you don't want to post them that's fine, but you will need to compare the numbers to what you see on Windows.

Ok, well was it "slightly different", or was it not? Slightly different is different enough to make a difference, so please be precise.

And finally, one more question you didn't answer: Which OS are you trying to install a driver for? Windows or Ubuntu?

I removed, and reinstalled the drivers on windows for my network card. Using the information from terminal it was easy to track down a downloadable driver (didnt help though)

Here's a comparison from vista, sadly it's in swedish but most of the terms are almost the same :S

also there's a single line of text that isn't showed but its empty, its the IPv6-DNS.

I've just reinstalled both vista and ubuntu, effectively killing years of hard work and tweaks - and without any change. Could it have anything to do with the bootloader from ubuntu killing off vista's access to internet? Not related? Probably, but I have no idea what to do anymore.
