dual os installing problem
 
hello folks

currently i am using comapaq v6000 au series laptop having vista home basic
i formatted the hard disk and installed windows xp
,having windows xp (on c:)and have 4 partion namely c,d e,f in one partion i have installed
suse 10.2 on d:
but after installing ,no windows prompt occur
and it only shows linux on the grub loader...
plz tell me hoe to install these two os on my lappy

SuSE should have detected the windows installation, and also should have made an entry in /boot/grub/menu.lst for vista. Look at the output of fdisk -l to see what the windows partiition is called (something like /dev/sda1 or /dev/hda1).

Then search the LQ boards for dual boot and vista issues. You can find examples of the correct entry to make in menu.lst to show windows as a boot option.
