Okay, here's the deal. I can't set the resolution on my laptop to more than 800x600 and it's drivin me nuts. I probably just need a new driver for my vid card, but I can't find it anywhere.

I have a Dell P3 500Mhz with an ATI Rage Mobility AGP 2x. I am running RH9, and had XP on it before that. XP didn't have a problem with 1024x768, so it's likely the driver. I've checked with both Dell and ATI.

If anyone could direct me to the driver place, I would appreciate it. Or if I need something else, suggestions are welcome. Thanks for the help.

look in /var/log/XFree.0.log to see what happens during X startup.You can edit /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 to change the default resolution.
