i have a problem with Dell INSPIRON 1420(intel 965). when i try to start init 5 mode or runlevel 5/startx. i can not start x window mode. I have made modification on default xorg.conf which is:

# Xorg configuration created by system-config-display

Section "ServerLayout"
Identifier "single head configuration"
Screen 0 "Screen0" 0 0
InputDevice "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard0"
Driver "kbd"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "us"
EndSection

Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "i810"
#Driver "vesa" not workin on vesa mode
EndSection

Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0"
Device "Videocard0"
DefaultDepth 24
SubSection "Display"
Viewport 0 0
Depth 24
EndSubSection
EndSection

Please, help me

Thank You

can you also post the error in the
/var/log/xorg0.log

and what happens if you rename xorg.conf to " xorg.conf.backup " and reboot
this will force the system to make a new config file .
