I have installed Linux on my Laptop, Compaq Presario 1400, Linux version is Redhat 9, but on First boot, display goes blank, i tried to wait for a while but nothing happened, i think i messed up with display driver, i selected Laptop monitor type at the time of installation. Any Idea, anyone?
I just installed Mandrake 9.2 on an IBM 770z. Got a blank screen, error when I tried startx. I just reinstalled a couple of times, using the upgrade option, and the second time was able to pick the right XFree options to get the display working, very well actually.
