Digital Ink in Linux

Hi - I have posted on several other forums but to no avail :( I want to convert my Fujitsu tablet pc ( P1, 233 mhz) to Linux and the only program I have not found a linux ounerpart for is a digital ink program. Does anyone know of one? I would even consider a paint type program that would allow me to write and take notes in class, but the idea case would be to find a program that would let me write on top of scanned documents.

Thanks!

There are two programs similar to the win-doze "journal" program:
I have used both, and prefer xournal over jarnal for various reasons. With my tablet-pc, xournal gives me an effective electronic "legal pad" that can markup PDF documents. When I add the CUPS-PDF printer driver, I can print the "digital ink" documents to PDF for sharing with others.

I am not aware of any sort of viewer application for xournal like there is for win-doze journal.

I am not aware of any sort of converter between the xournal and journal "digital ink" file formats.
