Dell Latitude CPx P3 256 Meg Ram
 

I previously had XP Pro but ran slow.
I formated the hard drive.
I installed Ubuntu and it runs good.
I have Suse 10.1 and Mandrivia 6 on my desktop and like both better than Unbuntu.
I have tried to load Suse 10.1 and it tells me not enough ram.
When I try to load Mandriva 6 after a fresh format it begins to load for about a minute and stops and the computer turns off.
I have tried several other distros and get the same problem.
I reloaded Ubuntu and all is fine except it is not what I want.
Question is, is this a ram problem as with Suse 10.1?
I can't find minimum requirements for the different distros.
Any help would be appreciated.
