dell inspiron 510m vs fc3

hi all,

i bought a dell inspiron 510m, and i loaded fc3. the problem is that, i feel the display of the screen is too big for me. it is on 800x600. i dunno how to raise the resolution. can i have something like 1 are there someone come across the same problem like me? pls give me pointers. thanks.

anyway, what is the best linux distro suite dell inspiron 510m. thanks....

Hi.

I also have the same notebook with the SXGA+
display(1400x1050). Right now my notebook's
resolution is set to 1400x1050. Try the 855resolution
patch.

Download the patch from this page :
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/apoirier/

Simply follow the compile and usage instruction
included on the source' gzip file.

You can also add 855resolution on your
/etc/rc.local file to start the patch before X.
