Dell D600 Wireless Card Problem

Hi all,

I'm currently running Slackware 12.0 on my Latitude D610 and I have not been able to succesfully configure it. (I'm dual booting with XP and LILO). When I reboot out of windows and into linux, my wireless card (the Dell 1470 WLAN card) will stay on and I can use it without a hitch. But if I boot into slack w/out going into windows first, the card has no power and I can't do anything about it. It's supposed to be controlled either by an application of your choice or by the Fn+F2 key combo. Anyone have this problem before or know how to deal with it? Thanks much.
