default boot to linux in HP-g6-2230sa
Hello friends,
I have bought a HP-g6-2230sa laptop, which comes with win8. I have managed to install fedora18 in it. But the problem is I cannot make it to boot f18 by default. The usual process to boot to fedora is: start the machine-> be very fast to press F9-> select Fedora (or else it will go to os boot manager and will boot win8). Once you select Fedora, then only fedora's grub screen will come, showing all of fedora and windows kernel. There is no option to change the order in F9's screen. I can change boot order by pressing F10, but that has no option of fedora: only os boot manager, boot from USB/CD etc. Any help please? |
If you have a windows 8 box booting dual boot in any fashion, that's an achievement I think you are underrating, and I for one, would not mess with it. I would take my hat off to the guys at Fedora.
