Debian with gforce 2 in dell inspiron 2650

I have a Dell inspiron 2650 with Debian with a linux Kernel 2.6.8.1 , I used the nv drivers to put the x on but i cant go to a tty or even shutdown the pc, and if i do that the pc dont do anithing and i have to force the shutdown with the button.

My cousin tried to fix it and he putted my pc with the vesa drivers, but i dont have 3d acceleration and i cant run most of the programs (xmms and a lot of games for example), ttys work now and i can shutdown normally but when i start the pc even the bios is vry small looking, it appears centered and half-sized. I dont think that this willa help too much because i didnt know wath he did. I only want to put my pc running normal with 3d accleration.
