debian on toshiba 3020CT
Ive used the bootfloppies to install debian woody (from my desktop as my laptop has no floppy/cd) and got it up and running.. The only problem being that the kernel 2.2.20 didnt support my wireless card, so i tried updateing to the 2.4 kernel.. I got that done, updated my lilo.conf ran lilo, then rebooted, but now when it starts loading linux , it says Loading 2.4........ * then promptly reboots only to start again.. could this be a problem with my partitioning? ( i have 2 partitions, my main /dev/hda1 which has everythign on it and my swap.) i tried having a boot partition but would get errors onstartup after updating the kernel that my lilo.conf file didnt specify a root= directory, when in fact it did.. any suggestions? i could redo the system if someone could help me get the 2.4 kernel on the bootfloppies, as the set im using now has the 2.2.20 kernel... . thanks in advance
