Debian on old laptop

Hello

I want to install a Linux server on my old Laptop and use it as a server.
I'm thinking on use Debian. But i can't find a X-86 architecture with 64-bit and i need to use more than the 2 GB ram the 32-bit allows.
Are there any way that I can install it on my laptop with 64-bit?
My laptop is using an Intel I2 duo, which is a dual core, X-86.

if not, will Xubuntu be a good idea?

EDIT: Read the post and promptly forgot what I'd read.

You are looking for the amd64 images. They'll work on intel systems.

32 bit can use 4GB without PAE (about 3.2GB usable) and more with PAE.
